The Southern Army Civil War Kepi has a long history of use from different nations and military groups including Norway, Belgium, German (Nazis), Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and more.
The kepi cap is most commonly associated with the French military and police during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. During the American Civil War era, the cap was worn on both sides of the conflict and the popularity of the cap continued through the Indian Wars.
